About Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara is an alkaline soda lake that attracts a large population of flamingos, especially during migration, which turn the lake’s shores into a pink-hued spectacle. The park is also known for its groundwater forests, fed by underground springs, which offer shelter to a variety of animals, including baboons, monkeys, and elephants.
